Join Seattle Black Pride in taking a stand against shame, stigma, homophobia, and denial in order to prevent HIV in OUR local Black Community.

HIV FACTS for the United States

  • 68% of all women infected with HIV are Black.
  • Infection rates in Black gay men are 10 times higher than in other populations.
  • African-Americans represent HALF of all new infections.

At this event, you will:

  • Learn what you can do to stop HIV.
  • Take a stand against Shame, Stigma, Homophobia & Denial.
  • Join local and state officials, community members and leaders to discuss strategies and concrete steps to stop HIV and promote health in our community.
  • Come hear about our mission and goals as we begin to make a concerted and collaborative effort to prevent the spread of HIV in the African American community.
