American Heritage Series is an ongoing series of lectures and discussions that offer new perspectives on the role of African-Americans in American History. The role of the African-American LGBTQ community in American, African-American and LGBTQ history is virtually hidden. In many cases this history has been either deliberately left out or misinterpreted. Acknowledging the depth and breadth of LGBTQ African-Americans in our history completes us.
