Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate and bring in the New Year! The Red Carpet Event was a huge success with over 200 people in attendance (in style!). Please continue to participate, celebrate, and get involved to make Seattle Black Pride 2007 even more fabulous!

The best way to get involved with the organization is to attend community meetings held the third Sunday of every month from 4-6pm @ the Seattle Black Pride Office. (mark your calendars in advance)

This is your opportunity to give feedback to the organization and help plan Seattle Black Pride 2007. We will also have updates on community programs, and exciting updates on the latest with SBP as we grow on the national map of Black Prides.

At this Sunday's Meeting:

• Provide feedback to the Board about the map of Seattle Black Pride 2007!
• Kiantha (Board President) will give some exciting updates (to say the least!) from her trip to the annual International Federation of Black Prides conference which hosts the leaders of all the Black Prides around the country and beyond. Seattle/Tacoma are on the map!
• Learn more about the Body & Soul program
• Meet the new Board and give us your ideas about directions you would like to see the organization grow (what you love and what you would like to see improve).
