Kabby is a choreographer, educator and performer and has danced with the Dance Theatre of Harlem,
the Nederlans Dance Theater, Civic Light Opera, Oakland Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Kabby
has been a dance instructor for more than 20 years having taught ballet, modern jazz, and Haitian
dance at schools and dance academies in Seattle, Iowa, and Mexico. In Seattle, Kabby has worked
with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Cornish College of the Arts, University of Washington, and Ewajo
Dance Workshop. His local choreography credits include work with Spectrum Dance Theatre, The Group
Theater, Seattle Repertory Theater, Bathhouse Theatre, A Contemporary Theater and the Civic Light
Opera. Kabby’s signature choreography is seen in the annual presentation of Black Nativity,
directed by Jacqueline Moscou at the Intiman Theatre, and most recently in the production
of For Colored Girls...directed, by Dr. Tawyna Pettiford-Wates.

Spoken Word/Poetry by chad Goller-Sojourner
Chad Goller-Sojourner is a Seattle based poet, spoken word performance artist and 2007-2008,
Seattle Poet Populist Nominee. His inaugural Chapbook entitled Born One Thousand Years
Too Early: Fat, Dark-Skinned, Gay and Adopted by White Folks: A Fragmentary Journey Towards Alignment
received accolades from Maya Angelou and has been described as poignant, chilling and prophetic.
Amber Flame
Amber Flame is a word artist whose source for inspiration finds its roots in the blues. Whether
exploring rhythmic and harmonic structures as a framework for spoken word or blending voice in song,
Amber Flame is testing the boundaries between genre and medium. She is the big brain behind A Flame
Production, a visionary collective project, as well as a member of Sankofa, an African-American a
cappella Women's Choir. She expresses herself on stages as varied as the Seattle Slam and Bent
Writing Institute to PONCHO Theater and the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, and spends her
free time teaching music and poetry to kids.
