There is no better time to get involved with Seattle Black Pride! We have several programs starting up
which will have a big impact on the local community, are looking for motivated people with ideas, talent
and energy for our ongoing fundraiser and annual Black Pride Weekend. Bring your skills!

Monthly Community Meetings
We meet the third Sunday of every month from 4PM to 6PM at the Seattle Black Pride Office
(address provided in the side bar) to discuss the latest with the organization.
Seattle Black Pride exists because of the community, which is why we make sure to keep
the community involved with the organization’s process.
In addition, we dedicate an hour to discuss issues that affect our community most. Topics have included: HIV,
stereotypes, labeling ourselves ("butch," "fem," "masculine," "queen") and more. We can also have
presentations from special guests depending on everyone's interest. This is also a space to build
community and for people who are interested to get involved, network, and sign up for volunteering.
If you are on our email list you will receive monthly reminders of when the community meetings are
and what we are going to discuss. Please participate and bring your friends!
